Our handmade books and journals are inspired by traditional Japanese bookbinding. We use authentic Chiyogami (Japanese screenprints), Moriki paper, silk threads, fabric corner pieces, and Hanshi (Japanese rice paper) for our signature book creations.
Some traditional techniques have been modified in the process of making these books so they can be used and handled for modern times. Our book pages turn in the western style from right to left, but we have kept with the standard vertical Japanese title strip placed on the front cover. Upon request, we are happy to create a book with a horizontal title strip.
